when we drop into listening what we hear is language shared by all beings.
forgetting that we hear we hark the inconceivable through silence speak.
the dharma is our common tongue as we all branch off from the same word.

not found, not found, no longer waiting for replies to life's questions. not knowing as expression of the beauty of not finding. keep looking. keep asking. keep asking for nothing. let nothing point to what lies ahead. let nothing speak. let no answer come. let no answer be the speech of intimacy. speak.
slowly approaching a fly warming itself in sunlight pouring through the window: "how has your day been so far?"
bending over the pond where carps swirl close to the surface with open mouths. " how was your sleep with all the downpours last night?"
head in the sky, the sacred banyan outside the village. known as home to spirits of the land.

little ember
true
we all fade away
this being so
cinders too have their seasons
the winds know the storms know
the sun's glow is your tomorrow
for all we know you may be a red dwarf now
